Scor-Pal and Graphic 45 Week with Tya Smith

Here we are with the sixth project of our very special week of projects you featuring the fabulous Scor-Pal products and the gorgeous papers of Graphic 45!

Hi there! Tya here with a fun project that shows off how amazing a pairing up of Graphic 45 and my handy Scor-pal can be! I loved the beautiful, rich papers that we were given to work with, so thanks Graphic 45! I was inspired by this project from songofmyheartstampers, but I used some fortune cookies instead of the coffee cups to go along with the theme of the papers. This would be a great gift to show that special friend, spouse or teacher just how "fortunate" you are to have them in your life :)
Here's my project:

Fortune Cookie Box

Supplies:

Scor-pal

Scor-tape

Birdsong papers from Graphic 45 (tag and 8 1/4x 8 1/4 inches)

Cardstock (2) 2x 5 1/4 inches

ribbon

cellophane

buttons

black ink

fortune cookies

Step 1- take a 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 square of pattern paper. Score on one side at 2 and 6 1/4.

 Step 2- Rotate paper and score again at 2 and 6 1/4.

 Step 3- Snip the edges as shown.

 Step 4 - Take the 2 x 5 1/4 inch cardstock and score each piece at 1/2 inch and 4 3/4 inches

Step 5- Make a mark at the 2 5/8 inch mark. 

 Find a groove and score a line about half way down.

 Trim the 2 score lines you just made about half way down.

 Fold on the scored lines and line up the half way snipped up lines and fit them together as shown.

 Step 6- Add adhesive to the sides of the box.

Adhere sides together to form the box.

 Step 7- Add adhesive to the flaps on the box as shown.

 Glue this divided section to the inside of the box as shown.

 Step 8 - Add fortune cookies.

 Step 9 - Make the tag by using a cut out from the pattern papers. Add cellophane to the outside of the box. Punch a hole and add the ribbon to the tag. tie the tag to the cellophane. Add buttons and ink the edges of the tag with black ink if desired.

Hi there - Tya here with my project featuring Scor-pal and Authentique. . All the papers and accents we got to work with from Authentique were so beautiful - it was hard to choose what line to focus on! Since it is the end of summer and my most favorite season fall is shortly on its way , I decided to use the new Seasons: Autumn line to make a cute and easy card to send to that special someone letting them know what a blessign they are to you. I really liked the way this card looked. I like how it looks like there is a notch cut out of the left side of the card with some pretty pattern paper peeking out from the top layer - but it really is just a scored piece layed over the top. I got the inspiration from this YouTube video by Holly Young. Thanks Holly! Here's what I did:

Supplies:

Scor-pal

Scor tape

3 3/4 x 5 Authentique Seasons: Autumn One paper

3 3/4 x 4 3/4 Authentique Seasons: Autumn Three paper

Authentique Seasons : Enhancement paper - tag cut out

Authentique Seasons : Component Sticker 

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 brown cardstock for card base

2 1/4 x 2 3/4 brown cardstock for tag

4 x 5 1/4 red cardstock

2 x 2 1/2 red cardstock for tag

Wood button

ribbon

twine

Step 1: Score 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 brown cardstock at 4 1/4 mark. Fold over to make card base.

Step 2: Add red cardstock and lined pattern paper to front of card base.

Step 3: Take 3 3/4 x 4 3/4 paper and make a tick mark at the 2 1/2 inch mark on the 4 3 /4 side of the paper.

Step 4: Line the tick mark up on the 6 inch mark on your Scor-pal. Make a diagonal score line to each of the two corners as shown.

Step 5: Fold the corners in. Add adhesive to the fold to make the pocket.

Step 6: Add the pocket to the far left side of the card. Cut out the tag and and it to the front of the card on top of the pocket you just added. Add button, twine and ribbon to the top of the tag.

Step 7: To make the pull out tag, take the 2 x 2 1/2 red cardstock and add the sticker to the 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 brown cardstock. Add adhesive to only the left hand side of the sentiment cardstock piece so that it can easily slide in and out of the pocket.

Hi there - Tya  here with my take on the fun swap that we got to participate with VivaLasVegaStamps and Scor-pal. What a cool site VivaLasVegaStamps is! All sorts of interesting and fun stamp images! It was so hard to choose the stamps I wanted to use! But I did decide on one that is going to be perfect for a project I am really excited to do. My little brother announced his engagement a few months back with the wedding being in September in none other that Las Vegas! I wanted to make some fun little wedding table favors to add to the wedding decor and I fell in love with the boy and girl symbols on the stamp sheet that I choose. I like to call them "Potty People" because they remind me of the signs on restroom doors :) Here is what I came up with:

 Wedding Favor Box 

Supplies:

Scor-pal

Scor tape

Plate #917 by VivaLasVegaStamps

8 1/2 x 11 Pattern Paper ( I used We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard Line)

2 1/2 x 3 1/2 pink pattern paper for tag

2 1/4 x 2 1/2 white cardstock for tag

(2) 1 x 2 1/2  white cardstock for chevron border stamp

teal ribbon

black and white bakers twine

yellow button

black ink

yellow ink

Sticker sheet for embellishments and tag title (We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard line)

Dove Chocolates

Step 1: One 8 1/2 inch side, score at 2 1/2, 3, 5 1/2 and 6 inches.

Step 2: On 11 inch side, score at 4 and 7 inches. 

Step 3: Turn paper so that the 8 1/2 inch side is on the top. Trim away the 4 corners as shown. Make sure you trim on the inner most score line (at the 3 and 6 inch score line.) 

Step 4: Notice that you still have 2 scored lines on this middle section. Fold on these lines to create the box shape for the inner section of the favor. 

 Step 5: Add your treat or whatever you would like to fill this section with. I used 3 Dove Chocolates and they fit perfectly. I attached the chocolates with a glue dot.

 Step 6 : Add Scor tape on one outer edge and one inner edge of the paper to seal up the section with the candy.

Step 7: Add Scor tape to the top edge of the other section of the box. 

Step 8: Glue the two top sections together as shown

 Step 9: Stamp the people image on the 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 white cardstock and 2 chevron border stamps on the 1 x 2 1/2 inch white cardstock.

Step 10:Add the chevron borders to fit the front and back of this section of the box. Add yellow ink. 

Step 11: Make a tag using the white "Potty People"  and the pink pattern paper. Add stickers to the tag and punch a small hole in the top of the tag. 

Step 12: Decorate the box using the teal ribbon, the bakers twine and a button.

Scor-Pal and Clearsnap with Tya Smith

Hi there! Tya here with my take on the swap that we got to participate in with Clearsnap. I have always loved the rich, vibrant inks and mists that Clearsnap has so I was very happy to be able to use some of their amazing products on my project. Here is what I did:
This is my take on a 2-4-6-8 box. It is the same general technique, but I wanted a taller and wider box,so I changed the dimensions up a little bit to make this tall, open topped box that I used to give a gift of some yummy Bath and Body Works Body Spray. The box fit perfect. I also love using my stamps to make my own customized tissue paper, so I used a flower stamp and the beautiful Mixed Media Ink Chox to make the fun flowered tissue paper. Here is what I used and how to make one of your own:

 Supplies:

Scor-pal 

Scor Tape

9x12 inch white cardstock

(4) 2 1/4 x 6 1/4 pattern paper (My Minds Eye Kate&Co.)

cut out sheet of journaling spots and card sentiments and stickers from Kate and Co. line as well for tag

(2) 1 1/2 x 12 inch teal cardstock

border punch

pop dots

Sage Mixed Media Ink Chox by Clearsnap

River Mossy Smooch Spray by Clearsnap

Stamp by Judikins - Mod Mum

1 sheet of white tissue paper

Various embellishments, bakers twine, ribbon, pin and jewels

Step 1- On the 9 inch side of the 9x12 inch white cardstock, score the paper at 2 inches.

 Step 2 - Score on the 12 inch side of the cardstock at 2 1/2, 5 , 7 1/2, and 10 inches. Trim away the bottom right section as shown.

 Step 3- Snip the bottom sections up to the bottom scored line as shown:

 Step 4- Fold all the scored lines:

 Step 5- Add Scor Tape to the far right panel and to 3 of the bottom panels as shown:

 Step 6- Glue the box together:

 Step 7- Decorate the outside panels of the box using the (4) 2 1/4 x 6 1/4 pattern papers. Take the (2) 1/12 x 12 inch teal cardstock strips and punch a border using a border punch. Score these papers at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2 and 10 inches just like the panels for the box. Add these to the top and bottom edges of the box.

 To make the tag, use one of the journaling spots , stickers and various embellishments. Add the tag to the front of the box using pop dots.

 To make the tissue paper, I simply stamped a flower stamp with the Chox and then used the Smooch Spritz as well for some added fun :)
