Market Street Stamps Week- Day 3

We are excited to be bringing  you a special week here on the Scor-pal blog featuring projects created not only with Scor-pal products but, also, some great stamps from our friends at Market Street Stamps.  We hope you will take time to stop by each day this week to see what the designers are up to. While you're here be sure to leave a comment each day for your chance to win a Scor-buddy and some Market Street Stamps that will be given away to one randomly selected visitor. Of course, you'll also want to hop over and pay a visit to the Market Street Stamps blog because they are featuring Scor-pal and Market Street projects as well!!

Deadline to enter for the random drawing is midnight Sunday April 22.

Today we have a birdhouse card featuring Scor-Pal and Market Street Stamps by Scor-pal designer Gini Cagle

Cut a 5 x 5" square of paper for the main portion of your house.  Line the paper up in the right hand corner of the Scor-Pal and score at 4" and 4.5". Turn a quarter of a turn and repeat the scores.  Keep turning and scoring until all four sides are done.

Cut away the four corners as shown.  Fold all score lines in towards the wrong side of the print.

Using a punch or die, cut a circle in the middle of the house body. Add Score-tape to the outside folds, and form a box. Cut a piece of coordinating paper 3" x 3".

Use the Scor-tape to attach the box to the 3 x 3 square.

For the roof, cut a piece of paper 3" x 4". On the 4" side, make a small score in the middle (2" spot), just to mark the middle. Line this score mark up on a chosen line of the Scor-pal, and the bottom corner. Now you are ready to score your diagonal lines. Score a parallel line at 1/2" and 1" on either side of the roof. Cut along each of the outer most lines, and fold the scores.

After the scores are folded, you can add Scor-tape to make you roof dimensional.

Attach the roof and your house is ready to be added to your project.

The Cheep Talk Stamp from Market Street Stamps was paper pieced using American Crafts papers from the Garden Cafe collection.

Scor-pal & American Crafts Blog Hop!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's another fun-filled day here on the Scor-pal blog. We've teamed up with American Crafts for an exciting hop that will show you a variety of scrapbook pages, cards, and other creative projects created with a Scor-pal scoring board and American Crafts products.

For a sweet taste of things to come, Scor-pal Designer Gini Cagle has created this special project for today:

When I saw all of the adorable accessories that went with the Garden Cafe line, I knew that these little paper strawberries would be a fun way to welcome spring!

The strawberry template came from the Whiff of Joy blog. I just used the template, and scored all of the folds with my Scor-pal. I used a Crop-o-dile to punch the holes at the top of each "petal" and then Scor-tape held the tab firmly in place. The Twinery's Baker's twine was used to lace the top together. The strawberry top was made using a Punch Bunch Cherry Blossom punch instead of the template provided.. The strings were drawn together and pulled through the leafy top, and tied in a bow.

The box that holds the strawberries was made using the Christmas Treats Basket Tutorial from Scor-pal. It is such a quick but cute basket to put together, and was a great canvas to add some of the American Craft dimensional stickers.

Thanks for sharing, Gini!
Due to an over-site on my part, Gini's blog was missed when the hop list was set up. So, be sure and leave her some love here on this post or stop by her personal blog and say hello. ;)

Now that the creative ideas are flowing, start hopping for even more inspiring ideas!

First name on the hop list: Corrie Jones

And, just in case you get a little lost or simply want a list of all the blogs up front, here is the order of the hop:

You'll want to make sure to stop by every blog along the way including the American Crafts blog because there are several prize drawing to enter as you go!

Once you finish don't forget to come back here and leave a comment to enter for a chance to win your favorite new line from the Winter 2012 American Crafts release as well as a Scor-Pal to make the creating super easy!

We'll randomly select one winner on Friday March 23rd and announce them with that day's post.

Have fun hopping and good luck one and all!
