Our designers will be bringing you some fun and exciting projects using not only Scor-pal products, but also, a mix of papers from Core'dinations. Of course, that's not all. The Core'dinations team is playing with Scor-pal products this week on the Core'dinations blog.

First up, Scor-pal designer Gini Cagle:
This time of the year, it's easy to find great inspiration from commercial packaging, if you just keep your eyes open. This box was inspired by a Burt's Bees gift set. It was really easy to recreate using the Scor-Pal and Core'dinations Cardstock.
Supplies:
Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Patterned Paper
Spellbinders Hexagon dies
Spellbinder M-Bossability Mystic
Kaisercraft Sparklets
Craft store artificial glitter holly leaves
The original box was used as a template. With these measurements, you can draw off your own.
Trace the pattern onto your card stock, and cut it out. Line up on your Scor-pal to score the folds.
If you noticed, 3 of the side panels have flaps (to connect the sides together). Add a piece of Scor-tape to the outside of each flap, and adhere to the inside of the adjacent panel.
After your box takes shape, add a piece of Scor-tape to the top flap and fold down. This will make your edges stronger and neater.
This is the template used for the box lid. Trace onto your card stock, and cut. Each of the "petals" will tuck into the box top, except for the one long strip, which will wrap under the box, creating the hinge.
To wrap around the box, you will need an extension strip. Cut a piece of card stock 2 3/4" x 9". Score at 4 1/2" and 6 3/4".
Secure the original box flap, around the base of the box.
Add the extention piece, so that the scores line up with the edge of the box. Adhere along the front panel, and into the inside of the box.
Cut nesting hexagons using a die, and emboss with a folder. Sand the card stock to reveal the colored core.
Decorate as desired.

I use Core'dination's Paper all the time so when I heard that Scor-Pal and Core'dinations were teaming up for a week, I was in heaven. So I literally took it there with this prayer layout I created with a library card pocket, ready to hold my requests and thoughts.
Here is everything you'll need to create this layout: Core'dinations Core Impressions BasicGrey Ornate Paper Pack, Core'dinations Tim Holtz Kraft Core Collection,Core'dinations Sand It Gadget, Scor-Pal , Scor-Tool, Scor-Pal Tape
Other products Used: My Mind's Eye Paper, KaiserCraft paper blooms, Cheery Lynn Dies, Glitter, Card Stock, Foam Tape
Step One: Cut a piece of designer card stock 9 x 4 1/2
Step Two: Using your Scor-Pal score paper at 1/2 inch and 4 inch .
Step Three: Turn paper and score at the five inch mark to create your fold.
Step Four: From the shorter side cut away the 1/2 inch scored strip to the center score line. Also you can angle your corners on the remaining edges.
Step Five: Apply Scor-Pal Tape to the tabs that will fold over. Be sure to not apply the tape to far up where it would stick out past the fold up.
Step Six : Fold over and crease down with your Scor-Tool for a perfect finished Library Card/ Pocket. Then just apply to your card or layout as desired.
I must brag a bit about the Core'dinations Sand it Gadget. I already had some sanding blocks and files but man does this little tool do the trick on Core'dinations Paper. It was wonderful for sanding the whole page quickly and easily. I really love it.
