May Arts and Scor-Pal with Diane Zechman

The Scor-Pal DT gals have teamed up with the May Arts DT to bring you lots of ideas using your Scor-Pal products and beautiful May Arts ribbons. I have two simple cards to share today. Both have fun ways to use up those scraps of ribbon you have laying around. The first one starts out as a Z-fold card. For this card, start with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock. Score the base @ 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 with your Scor-Pal. Fold to create the Z-fold. Trim 1/2" from the left edge and punch with a border punch. I sponged all edges at this point. Behind the first fold with the punched edge, attach ribbon scraps and lace with Scor-Tape. Adhere flap to cardfront. For the butterfly: Cover a scrap of white cardstock with Scor-Tape (I used 1/2"). Adhere ribbons and diecut. Attach to card and add rhinestones.

My second card has a scored border and also uses ribbon scraps.
First, score a 1/4" border on all sides. Sponge edges. Then start with a piece of 3 x 4 patterned paper and cut a "V" in the bottom to create a wide flag. Punch a flower shape in the flag and turn it over to the back side. Add Scor-Tape around the edges of the punched out shape. Layer ribbons over the opening until it is completely covered. Tie another ribbon around the top and attach the flag to the card front with additional Scor-Tape. Finish the flower with a button threaded with May Arts twine. butterfly card: stamps- Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps- Be Encouraged; paper- Crumb Cake, white; ink- SU!
