Hello!  It's Lisa with a tutorial with another quick gift idea!  I was inspired by a project that Cindy Lyles (StarLitStudio) posted several years ago.  You can find discussion and details of what she did HERE.

I'm completely up the challenge, and since Mother's Day is around the corner, I knew I'd make this for a special person in my life.

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Think of Me Card Maker Paper Pack by SEI
Paper: Solar White by Neenah, Posh Bright Blue Dungaree, Pop-Ton Gundrop Green 100#, Pop-Tone Snow Cone 100# DiscountCardstock.com
Other: corner rounder, flower dies by My Favorite Things, sequins from Etsy, precision scissors, Velcro by 3M

So, let's begin!

Following the template below, score your box base at the noted marks using your Scor-Pal scoring board and Scor-Tool.

Remove portions to create a base as shown below.

Fold along all the score lines and add Scor-tape to close the sides.  You can opt to round all the corners.

Adhere the small flaps to the folded side first.  Remove the backing to the Scor-tape and close the sides.

Add Velcro to close the box.

Cover the front flap of the box with beautiful SEI patterned papers.  Embellish as desired.

The mini box will hold 6 cards and 6 envelopes.  Create a set of lovely cards with SEI papers to match the theme and design of the project for a perfect and complete gift.

Using your Scor-Envi, score as directed on the tool for the 3" x 3" envelope.  This begins with a 5-3/4" square piece of paper with scores at 4-1/4" and 7-3/4" along both sides.

Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

SEI and Scor-Pal Week with Abby Henderson

Hi Friends! This is Abby with ScrappinAbby and I am thrilled to be sharing another Scor-pal project with you using the gorgeous DianeLexington paper collections from SEI! I knew right away what I wanted to create once I saw the beautiful floral papers in the two collections I received, Mothers Day Tea Cups. I have 4 Sisters-in-Law so I made one cup for each of them and one for my Mother-in-Law which I'll give to them at our Mothers Day brunch.

Products used: Scor-pal Scor-tape SEI Diane & Lexington Collections Doily Die Pearl trim Tulle Lace Flowers Additional embellishments
For the basic construction of the cups, I cut my selected card stock to 9 x 5 1/2
Then I scored each piece of paper at the 1" mark until I reached 8"
After rotating the paper, I made one last score at 1 1/4"
Next I made a small cut up to the 1 1/4" score line for each of the 1" score marks I made at the beginning. I also cut off the last 1" tab that's left and made a flap by cutting off the corners of the last 1" strip
Here's a video I made that walks you through this step as well as the construction of the handle. The cup portion is at the 3:32 mark and the handle is at 12:16 : )
Next I applied some Scor-tape to the flap
I used the 1/8" Scor-tape for the flaps on the bottom side of the cup
You'll do this step on 4 of your flaps and fold them down accordingly
For the handle I used a doily die with the same card stock I used for the cup
The next few photos show you how I cut the handle portion, adhered it together and attached it to the cup
I wanted to add an additional decorative element to the cup so I used more Scor-tape around the base and added some Lavish Lace trims
For the last construction step I used the 1" & 1/4" Scor-tape to adhere the cup to the "saucer" I made with another die cut doily from the paper and some chipboard
I used a variety of flowers, laces and pearl trims to embellish the cups and personalize them a bit. Here's one last photo before I added all of those items
And here are a few additional photos of the completed Tea Cups
To see additional photos of each Tea Cup up close and to see a video of the completed project, please be sure to stop by my BLOG & search for the Mothers Day Tea Cup post. I hope my project has inspired you to pull our your Scor-pal and Scor-tape so you can work with some of the gorgeous papers from SEI and create your own dimensional projects that you can use as gifts or to keep for yourself.  Thanks for stopping by the Scor-pal blog and happy craftin!!

SEI and Scor-Pal Week with Diane Zechman

Welcome back for the 2nd post of day one with SEI and Scor-Pal cross-promotion week !  We have lots of fun in store for you, including wonderful projects and great prizes.  Every day, we will have 2-3 posts on our blog, and the SEI blog is going to be sharing projects and prizes as well. Hi…Diane here. This week the Scor-Pal team is hopping with SEI! Today I have a fun pop up tutorial for the inside of your card. I don't know where the idea originated but you can use lots of different images such as flowers, hearts, butterflies, etc. Today I am using balloons. The front of the card is a clean and simple layout.

First, start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base. Then cut a 5 1/4 x 10 1/4 piece for the inside layer. Using the Scor-Pal, align the inside layer at the 1/8" groove. Score the 10 1/4 side at 4 1/4, 4 3/4, 5 1/4,
5 3/4, and 6 1/4.

Turn the paper over to the back. Mountain and valley fold the scored lines, and add Scor-Tape as shown below.

Remove the adhesive backing on the tape and adhere. Turn it over to the right side. It should now look like this.

Add additional Scor-Tape to the center of the folds and adhere strips of clear acetate in varying lengths.

Adhere center folds to "sandwich" the acetate between them.  Then glue the inside layer to the card base. Attach two die-cut balloons back to back to each acetate strip. Tie a bit of string to each, hanging freely. Add additional papers and finish
card as desired.

SEI and Scor-Pal Week with Gini Williams Cagle with Giveaway!

Hi, it's Gini, and I'm here to kick off the fun for the SEI and Scor-Pal cross-promotion week !  We have lots of fun in store for you, including wonderful projects and great prizes.  Every day, we will have 2-3 posts on our blog, and the SEI blog is going to be sharing projects and prizes as well. So, speaking of prizes, here is what we are giving away:

So now onto my project -  I had seen this sliding box on Pinterest, from Wenche's blog,
but I needed to convert it to inches rather than centimeters.  If I had looked back at the blog, I would have noticed that our guest designer, Joann, had just done the same box! But at least you will get two different takes on a great project.

Cut a piece of cardstock 9 1/2 x 11 1/4".  With the long side against the top fence of your Scor-Pal, score at 2 1/4",     4  1/2", 6 3/4" and 9".  Turn the paper so the short side is against the top fence and score at 1/2",         2  3/4", 6 3/4", and 9"

Cut as shown.

Score diagonally, as marked with the dotted lines.

Measure 1/2" from the bottom of the diagonally scored flaps, and mark a notch.  Use something oval shaped to trace a cutting line to shape the paper like this:

Cut the rounded edges.

Cut two pieces of cardstock, 2 1/4", x 2 1/2".  With the longer side against the top fence, score at 2 1/4", so you have a 2 1/4" square.  Add Scor-tape to the folded lip of the center flap, and attach these pieces to extend the flap.  (The 1/4" flap of the small piece of cardstock will be adhered to the bottom of the box to form a pocket to slide the rounded flaps into).

Add your designer papers before assembling the box, and decorate as desired.
