Day Four of our special Scor-pal/GlueArts week and we have some more fun projects lined up for you!
We will be giving away some great Scor-pal and GlueArts prizes so be sure and leave a comment each day this week! There will be two winners randomly selected from all comments throughout the week. One will receive a Scor-pal scoring tool and the other will receive an assortment of great GlueArts products. You have until 8am CDT on Monday to leave comments. We will announce the winners later that day both here and on the Scor-pal Fan Page.
Once you are finished here be sure and stop by and visits the GlueArts blog as to see what they are up to as well. Also, don't forgot to visit the GlueArts fan page and, of course, stop by the Scor-pal Fan page. We have some great prize giveaways, contests, ideas and more there as well.
Our first project today is a black cat treat box from designer Gini Cagle. Gina used the Square Treat Box tutorial from from the Scor-pal website and added a cat rosette that was inspired by a home decor project from Martha Stewart.
Scor-pal scoring tool; Scor-tape; Glue Arts ExtremeTac Adhesive Squares; Glue Arts U Cut It Adhesive Foam; Bazzill Cardstock; Basic Grey Patterned Paper; Ribbon, Metallic Thread
To make the cat rosette, cut 2 pieces of black card stock, 1.5" x 12". Score every half an inch and pleat fold.
Attach the two strips together with Scor-tape to form a circle. Press the circle down in the center to form a rosette, and glue in place.
Add pieces of card stock to decorate the face. Apply Extreme Tac to glue the eyes, ears and mouth of the cat. Cut a small piece of U Cut It Foam, and fill in the hole in the center of the rosette. Color orange with a copic marker.
Make a loop of metallic thread, and tie a knot in the center. Clip the ends to make whiskers. Place this on the UCutIt Foam. Glue the nose over the top with the Extreme Tac.
Complete the Square Treat Box, following the tutorial, and add the Scaredy-Cat to the top of the box.
Here are a few more views of this fun project:
Our next project for the day is a Haunted House card by designer Steph Ackerman
Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: Making Memories; Scoring Tool: Scor-Pal; Glue: GlueArts U Cut It Foam; Die: Sizzix Haunted House; Glitter, Foil, Ink: Clearsnap; Ribbon: Making Memories; Twine: The Twinery; Tag: Miss Elizabeth
Directions:
Die cut the Haunted House using a Sizzix die and the UCutIt Foam (save the little pieces for use on another project).
Gently pulling up the top layer, add Charcoal Glitter to the smoke and Silver Lining Glitter to the roofs.
Now add Clearsnap's Lucky Penny Foil to the remainder of the house.
In some spots, the Foil pulled away parts of the Foam, so I inked over those spots with Clearsnap's Black Mix'd Media Inx for a grungy look.
Die cut the "moon" from orange cardstock and score every 1/4".
Ink the embossed areas with Black Mix'd Media Inx.
Cut a 1" strip of cardstock to fit across the card front, then score along the top and bottom edges.
Thanks for stopping by today! We will be back tomorrow to wrap up the week and share our final project. See you then!

The rosette cat is so creatively clever! And the silvery whiskers, too! The haunted house is delightfully eerie! The cobwebby finish is perfect for it! I just love them both!!
