First up, Scor-pal designer Lisa Silver:

Hello! It's Lisa with a project today using the wonderful papers by Core'dinations and my favorite Scor-Pal tools.

Snowflake Cube Ornament

Supplies:
Paper: Core'dinations Signature Series (Graphic 45) in Bon Voyage GX-3100-06 (cut in 8.5" x 11" piece), vellum
Tools: Scor-Pal Scoring board in Inches, Scor-Tool, Scor-Tape and Core'dinations Sand It Set (sanding block and dust cloth)
Other: Snowflake die by Sizzix, silk ribbons by May Arts, Maraschino twine by The Twinery, corner rounder (1/4") by Zutter, precision scissors, small bell

Template:

Begin with a 8.5" x 11" piece of Core'dinations cardstock.
Score to match the template above using a Scor-Pal Scoring Board in Inches and Scor-Tool.

Along the 8.5" side, score at 0.5", 3", 5.5" and 8".
Along the 11" side, score at 0.5", 3", 5.5", 8" and 10.5".
Add a score mark (the dotted red line) at 2.5" and 6", carefully skipping one section as pictured above.
Remove all the shaded sections with a precision scissors.
Round the corners of all the flaps with a 1.4" corner rounding tool.
When creating a box like this, I find it easier to put together if I round the corners of the smaller flaps.

Using a small punch or die, add design to each side of the box. Add dimension to the box by sanding gently with the Sand It tool set. Add Scor-Tape to the box flaps.
Gently fold the box along the score lines to determine the placement of the Scor-Tape. Sand the box a bit for added dimension.

Flip to the "inside" of the box and add small squares of vellum behind the snowflakes, using Scor-Tape to adhere. I also determined that I wanted my box to hang from the point, so I added a loop of ribbon to one corner, using Scor-Tape. I also adhered a small bell to the bottom strung with twine.

Remove all the Scor-Tape strips and adhere to close the box.

Enjoy!

Next, Scor-pal Designer Tya Smith
Hey everyone - Tya here with my projects featuring the amazing cardstock packs by Core'dinations. I have always loved using Core'dinations cardstock because of the beautiful contrasting colors that pop out when they are embossed or sanded!

I have made 2 different cards today featuring the Neutral and Dark Cardstock paper packs.

Along with making boxes and bags and other 3-D projects, I love using my Scor-Pal to help make crisp and clean accents and embellishments for my paper crafting projects. My youngest daughter is into origami as of late and so when we were looking for some projects for her to do for Christmas we stumbled across these 2 fun folds that we wanted to try out. I decided to add these origami folded shapes to a couple of Christmas cards. The fun thing about these 2 cards is they have a detachable tag on one card and an ornament on the other that your recipient will be able to use after they receive their card. The Core'dinations Cardstock folded beautifully and was so much fun to use with my embossing folders.(My latest obsession!) :)

Here are my projects:

First up is the beautiful origami Christmas tree card:

Supplies:
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Chocolate Mocha Core'dinations Cardstock from Neutral Pack
4 squares cut from Olive Core'dinations Cardstock from Neutral Pack
3 inches, 2 1/2 inches, 2 inches, and 1 1/2 inch size squares
3 3/4 x 5 and 1 x 4 1/4 Cream Cardstock
3 x 5 Kraft cardstock for the tag
4 x 5 1/4 Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage Pattern Paper in Red Snowflake
3/4 x 4 1/4 Teresa Collins Pattern Paper in Red Snowflake (Green Chevron Size)
Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage Jewel Brad, Merry and Christmas Sticker from Christmas Cottage Sticker Sheet
Green Twine
Swirl Embossing Folder from Tim Holtz
Scallop Border Punch from Martha Stewart

Steps to make the Origami Tree:
Do these steps for all 4 of the cardstock squares-

Step 1-
Score the square in half and then in half again

Step 2-
Line square up at the 6 inch score mark and score diagonally in both directions
(If you want to emboss your cardstock with an embossing folder now is the time to do this before you move onto Step 3.)

Step 3-
Using the Scor-Pal Tool, fold all score marks until all angles are folded. Turn the paper so it is in a square shape instead of a diamond shape. Pinch the 2 sides into the center as shown.

Step 4-
Take the two top facing corners and fold into the the center line and down to make the points as shown:

Do these steps to all 4 of the cardstock squares.

Step 5-
Glue and layer the 4 cardstock squares together as shown:

Glue the tree shape to the oatmeal tag and create the card as shown in the example.
I made a small pocket on the front of the card with the cream cardstock and then added the green chevron pattern paper border that I cut with a scallop edge punch to the front.

Ornament Card:

Supplies:
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Chocolate Mocha Core'dintations Cardstock from Neutrals Pack
(2) 3 inch cardstock squares cut from Roasted Pepper from Core'dinations Darks Pack
4 x 5 1/4 Teresa Collins Cottage Sentiments Pattern Paper
3 3/4 x 5  Cream Cardstock
Teresa Collins Chrismas Cottage stripe and Joy Sticker, die-cut circle in green and Cheer Bingo card from die -cut sheet, and Green Snowflake brad
Linen Twine

To create the ornament:
(If you want to use your embossing folders do this now)
(Do this for both squares)

Step 1-
Score square in half both ways

Step 2-
Line the square up at the 6 inch mark and score diagonally in both directions

Step 3-
Fold all the score lines with the Scor-Pal Tool. Snip on all the sides on the middle score mark about halfway down.

Step 4-
Fold all of the corners in and glue down.

Step 5-
Layer the 2 shapes together to make the ornament shape. Add the Green circle die cut and the Joy Sticker to the front. Add the linen twine to the top section.

Create the card base and as shown and add the ornament to the front of the card

Thanks for joining me and letting me share these projects with you!
Happy Scoring and Happy Holidays!
