Pinspired!

Each month a talented Design Team Member will choose a project on our Scor-Pal Pinterest board and get "Pinspired" by it!
They will update it, tweak it a little if they like, and share the tutorial here for you!

This month we have the super creative Toni

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here again with another Pinspired post for the Scor-Pal blog.  I found this pin for a washi tape storage box on the Scor-Pal Pinterest Board.  I got to thinking about the mess of washi tapes that I had sitting on my shelf and decided that practical was the way for me to go this month.
For this project, you will need:

  • Scor-Pal
  • Scor-Tape
  • One 6" x 12" piece of double-sided patterned paper
  • Paper snips
  • Ribbon and extra paper to embellish
Place the 6" x 12" piece of patterned paper with the 12" side along the fence.  Make sure the pattern that you want on the outside of the box is facing up. Score at 1" and 11".
Turn your patterned paper so that the 6" side of the paper is along the fence.  Score at 1", 2", 4" and 5".
Burnish all the folds and cut tabs on my 6 inches up to the score line.
Turn the paper over and line the second and fourth segments with Scor-tape from tab to tab. Remove adhesive backing and fold down.
Line the center tabs on both ends with Scor-tape. Remove adhesive backing and secure tabs on each side to create corners, and finally, your box.
Embellish your box as desired.  I die cut and layered a  couple of stars and popped them up on the front of my box.  I also cut small slits in the front of the box and slide ribbon through it.
Voila!  A washi storage box to clean up my shelf.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Mid Challenge Tutorial - Patti

This fabulous project was from one of team members in our current challenge and we wanted for you to be able to create it yourself so we have the tutorial for you.

Hi there!

I'm back today with a reminder that we are halfway through the month of June. You still have time to join in the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog - just use some ribbon, lace, or trim, and 'More than one fold'!

I originally made this card for the monthly challenge using scraps on hand:

I'm back here today to show you how easy a gatefold card can be when you use your Scor-Pal!

You will start with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock.
Place the long side at the top of your Scor-Pal, and score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".

Below, you can see the markings for a gatefold card, on the older Scor-Pal, the

Burnish score lines with Scoring Tool.  Cut a piece of white cardstock 4" x 5 1/4", and adhere to the inside center panel of your card, using Scor-Tape. Set aside.

Die cut or punch 2 sizes of your shape choice in coordinating colors. For this card, I used circles.
Die cut or punch 2 sizes of your shape choice in coordinating colors for sentiment. For this card, I used ovals.

Apply Scor-Tape to two 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" panels of patterned paper, and adhere to card front.

Add a little Scor-Tape to the larger circle to hold your ribbon in place.
Punch a hole, or slot in white panel for ribbon to slide through, and add Scor-Tape to the smaller circle.

Slip the ribbon through the slot, and adhere small circle to large circle.

Add Scor-Tape to just the left half or the large circle.

Adhere large circle to left side of card front.
Stamp sentiment on small oval, adhere to large oval, and adhere to card front.

Embellish as desired!

This card used more of the beautiful 12 x 12 cardstock and papers that DCWV had generously sent to Scor-Pal Owner, Diana Crick for us to design with. Isn't it pretty?

We'd love to see your project linked up on our challenge this month!

I'm having so much fun with these products! With all of the fun and amazing products
that have come and gone during the many years I've been paper crafting, my Scor-Pal products
are something I reach for with nearly every project.  I'm so excited to have the new Scor-Pal Eighths board with the scoring grooves at every eighth inch.  It makes everything so easy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #38 Ribbon, Lace, Trim

Welcome to the 38th Monthly Challenge here at Scor-Pal!
We love showing our projects to you and now it's your chance to show your creations to us!
Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score"
We have a nice set of samples from the Design Team, just click on their names to go to their blogs for more details on their creations.
