Today's first project comes from Scor-pal Designer Abby Henderson

Hi everyone, when I heard we were doing a blog week with Hampton Arts I was over the moon excited. I can't wait to share my hinged box made from chipboard that holds a vintage travel themed tag mini with all of you.

Products used:
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
7 Gypsies-Hampton Arts Vintage cling rubber stamps
Colorbox G45-Hampton Arts-Decades ink-Bon Voyage Blue & Venetian Lace
Staz-on Jet Black Ink
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Distress Ink Walnut Stain-Glass Knob-metal embellishments-Alcohol Ink-Reinforcers
Burlap
7 Gypsies Postale paper pad
Making Memories Travel paper pad
Chipboard
Want 2 Scrap Bling
Vintage buttons, trims, twine

I created the hinged box from two pieces of 12x12 chipboard. For the bottom of the box I cut the chipboard to 8 3/4 x 7 1/2. Using my Scor-Pal I then scored all sides to 1" and then used my Scor-Tool to fold my box sides along the marks.

I cut up to the inside score line on each corner-this will allow you to fold the edges inward and create your box. I then added some 1/4 Scor-Tape on all the corners.

The Scor-Tool is great for burnishing your Scor-Tape to your projects : )
Before removing the Scor-Tape & assembling my box bottom, I inked the edges with some of the Colorbox G45 Decades ink in Venetian Lace.

Once the bottom was assembled, I inked the edges again & inked the sides as well. Even though I planned on covering the sides with card stock, I wanted to cover the entire box in the Venetian Lace ink to give it that aged feel where the chipboard would still be exposed.

For the hinged lid (top portion of the box) I cut another piece of chipboard to 6x 5 7/8". I then scored it at 1" then 1 1/2" and lastly at 5 1/2". This resulted in making my "hinge".

In the next photo I already adhered my card stock to the lid but you can see where my score marks created the hinge look I was going for.

The next few photos show the bottom of the box assembled and how I used Scor-Tape to adhere card stock to the sides of the box.

Again using the Scor-Tool is a great way to burnish your card stock to your project. Once I finished adding the card stock to the sides & lid, I used a strip of 1" Scor-Tape to adhere my lid to the side of the box.

Even though the score marks created the hinge, I added some metal hinges to the lid to complete the look.

Here you can see the hinge a little better...

I used a variety of the products I listed above to decorate the box and to create the tag mini on the inside. I used all of the 7 Gypsies Par Avion rubber stamps in the to embellish the tags and pockets.

I am so in love with this hinged box & vintage tags...and I don't say this because I made it...I say this because I just love how using my Scor-Pal/Scor-Tape and some amazing products from Hampton Arts can stir the creativity in a person and result in project that you just love.
Thanks for checking out my project and I hope I've inspired you to get creative using the Scor-Pal & Hampton Arts products.

And, for our final project of the week, Scor-pal Designer Lisa Andrews.

We all love a little mischief in our lives but sometimes even the littlest things causes so much havoc. Instead of yelling and getting upset, grab your camera for that special Kodak moment and make a card that someone will truly never forget! Isn't it just so adorable how the dog is peaking out of the top of the card?

Supplies:
My Minds Eye designer paper
Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk
Hampton Art Stamps: Woodlands, Sunbathing and My Goal In Life
Shrink paper
Staz-On black ink
colored pencils
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
Hemp

I used THIS tutorial for my card. It is super simple and quick to make.
Start with an 8 x 8 1/2" piece of designer paper, line the 8 1/2" side up with the top fence of your Scor-Pal, score at 2 1/4" and 6 1/4". Turn the paper 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2", this will be the bottom of the card. On the top of the card round the corners, note: I used my Scor-Tape to round the corners. Cut the small rectangles out from the bottom of the card. Fold both sides in and then the bottom flap up and secure with a belly band. For the belly band, cut a piece of matching designer paper 2 1/4" x 8 1/2" and adhere it together on the back after you wrapped it around your card. Lisa distressed all of the edges with Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk. She used an 5" x 7" picture for the inside and cut it down to fit inside the pocket and then matted with a piece of card stock.

For the sentiment tag, I used a Spellbinder nestables. I first stamped the sentiment, My Goal In Life and then stamped Woodlands with Versa Mark and embossed it with clear embossing powder and then carefully inked the edges and paper with Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk to give it an aged, distressed look.

I used Shrinky Dink paper to stamp Sunbathing on with black Staz-On ink. Note: let ink dry completely before coloring with colored pencils. Punch a hole where you want the tag to be secured from and then shrink with your heat embossing tool, making sure to push the edges down to create a flat tag. It is best to have another person to help you with this. Attach tag to your card using hemp.

Glad you stopped by today and we hope that you will give this TriFold Pocket Card a try
