Scor-pal & Hampton Art Week - Day 3

Today we are thrilled to be kicking off a week long feature with our friends at Hampton Art. Our designers have out done themselves once again to bring you some fun and exciting projects using not only Scor-pal products, but also, a mix of stamps and inks from Hampton Art. Of course, that's not all. The Hampton Art team is playing with Scor-pal products this week on the Hampton Art blog beginning at 11:30 EST each day.

I am so excited that Scor-Pal and Hampton Art are teaming up to bring this fun Blog Hop week!
Today I wanted to share two quick and easy projects: a Gate fold card and a 2-4-6-8 Treat Box.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Cranberry Tart and Ivory card stock - Gina K. Designs

Stamps: Card Diem from Hampton Art

Ink: Venetian Lace, Triumphant Red and Putty - Clearsnap

Tool: Scor-Pal scoring board

Adhesive: Scor-Tape

Dies: Scalloped Labels One - Spellbinders

Place your 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock in the top right corner. Score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" grooves. These two measurements are clearly marked with a raised dot on the Scor-Pal. Once the score lines are created simply fold the panels and decorate your card.

For the 2 -4-6-8 Favor Box, stamp images using the Carpe Diem stamp set from Hampton Art on a 5 1/2" x 11" piece of Ivory card stock to create your own patterned paper.

Align the 8 1/2" paper to the top of the Scor-Pal and score at 2", 4", 6" and 8".

Turn the paper 90 degrees, and score at 2".

Cut the score marks from the edge to the 2" score line. This will be the bottom of your box. You will have four 2" slits. Remove the small rectangle that is formed by the 8" score line.

Fold along all scored lines. Attach Scor-Tape to the first three squares and the tab along the right.

Fold in each of the squares, one on top of the other to make box adding more adhesive as needed and secure the tab.

Fold in both sides squeezing to create a crease and decorate as desired.

I stapled the top of my box to keep it secure and added a topper using Spellbinders dies.

Good morning and welcome to the Scor-pal and Hampton Art blog hop.  With the hurricane devastation we recently experienced here in New York, I thought I'd create a bright and cheery card using my Scor-pal and this awesome Woodlands stamp by Hampton Art.

I began by cutting green cardstock to fit the base of the card, then cutting beige cardstock slightly smaller.  I scored 1/2" around the edges of the beige cardstock and inked it with brown ink to highlight the scored lines.  Using a Scor-pal makes perfect scored lines every time.

I stamped the image in black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder, then used Copic Markers to color in the image.  I trimmed the image so that when it was added to a brown mat, it would fit inside the scored lines.

I finished the interior of my card by cutting cardstock 5 3/4" x 4 1/4", then scored 1/2" around the edges with my Scor-pal and inked the edges with brown ink to highlight the scored lines.

Using the Hampton Art Blessed Beyond Measure Stamp, I inked up "Blessed" and used that for my interior sentiment.

For my next project, I created popcorn treat packages. These were so much fun to make so I created 3 of them to give away.

Supplies:

Scoring tool:  Scor-pal

Stamps:  Hampton Art

Ink: Clearsnap

Cardstock, pattern paper:   DCWV

Markers: Copic Markers

Begin by cutting cardstock 9" x 6".

Place the 9" length across your Scor-pal and score at 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 6 1/2" and 6 3/4".

Cut pattern paper as folows:

1 Front panel: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

2 Back panels: 2" x 5 1/2"

Add these panels to the base cardstock, fitting them within the scored lines

Decorate the front as desired. 

For one package, I fussy cut a leaf from pattern paper and added it to the front with Scor-tape.  For the other two, I die cut an oval and embossed it before adding it to the front with Scor-tape. 

On each of them I used Hampton Art stamp Continuous Small Treats which I stamped in black ink.

Fold on the scored lines and apply Scor-tape along one edge to seal the package in the back.   Using a Crop-a-dile, punch a hole in the front and back panels, approximately 3/4" from the top edge.

Cut ribbon long enough to wrap around the popcorn bag plus an extra 4-5 inches.  Center the ribbon around the popcorn bag.

Push the popcorn bag AND the ribbon into the treat container.  Carefully pull one ribbon end through the hole in front panel and one ribbon end through the hole in the back panel.  Once the popcorn package is seated nicely in it's new package, tie a bow at the top.  As you carefully pull on the bow, the popcorn bag will become visible.  To hide the popcorn bag, just gently push it back in place.
