Dimensional Card & Envelope by Jennie Harper

Are you ever short on envelopes or scrambling to find one that will fit a handmade card that is a little larger than usual? Today I have a dimensional card and envelope to share that I made using the Scor-Pal, Scor-Bug and Scor-Envi!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Ivory cardstock from Gina K. Designs
Patterned Paper: Easy Breezy - The Paper Loft
Adhesive: Scor-Tape
Stickers: SRM Stickers
Dies: Circles - Spellbinders

Start with 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock and score it at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2"

Take a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of patterned paper and using a Scor-Bug Embosser on the Scor-Pal, score at a diagonal every 1/2".

Turn the patterned paper and score again every 1/2" to create a grid pattern. This is a nice heavy weight patterned paper and the reverse side of the Scor-Bug scoring has a nice rough finish. Gently sand the bumpy score lines.

Adhere the two pieces of patterned paper to the card using Scor-Tape. (The left polka dot panel of patterned paper is 2 1/2" x 4").

To make a rosette, take a piece of coordinating patterned paper 1 1/2" x 12" and score every 1/4" across and then accordian fold the strip. Attach the ends of the strip together using Scor-Tape and adhere the rosette to a circle to reinforce shape.

Layer die cut circles and a sentiment.

Since this card has dimension from the rosette, it is necessary to make a coordinating envelope using the Scor-Envi. I made a size larger than my card. Following the instructions written on the Scor-Envi for a 4x6" card, cut a piece of patterned paper into an 8 1/2" square. Score at 2 3/4" and 9 1/2", rotate the square a 1/4 turn and score again at 4" and 8 1/2". Adhere to form envelope using Scor-Tape.

I made it a bit larger than normal due to not wanting to smash the rosette.

Here is how it fits in the envelope:

Love how this card stands and thinking of some Christmas designs for those I hand deliver!

This was so much fun to make and hope you will give it a try soon!! If you do, please link it here, via FB, or on my blog as I would LOVE to see what you made!!!
