Our final day of our Scor-pal and Bo Bunny product feature and we have two final Scor-pal designers with projects to share.
When you are done here stop by the Bo Bunny blog for even more ideas!
And, of course, leave a comment on this post and the rest of week's Scor-pal/Bo Bunny posts as well. We will be giving away a Scor-buddy to one of this week's visitors!
Be sure to stop by the Scor-pal Fan page too because are always great prizes, contests, and ideas to be found ;)
Now over to today's designers!
First up, Scor-pal Designer Tami Mayberry
The Scor-pal team has an outstanding way of creating 3D projects that I just love! I, myself, am somewhat different in that I typically lean towards the clean and simple projects. This week the ladies have shown you some outstanding ideas for gifts, mini albums and decor. Today, I am going in a slightly different direction. I've decide to create a scrapbook page to show you just a few of the many ways that you can use your Scor-pal for some super simple scrapbook techniques.
Here is the layout I created.
I simply scored evenly spaced lines from the back of the page, flipped over and sanded lightly. This is also a great way to line up paper strips or borders keeping them straight and even.
I also used the Scor-pal to create the rosette at the bottom of the page. Rosettes are super easy to make with the Scor-pal and best of all you can customize them for the size of your project.
Each rosette is created by scoring a strip of paper or card stock at equal distances then simply accordion fold, connect the ends, press down in the center and secure. The height of the rosette is controlled by the distance of the scores. 1/4" scores will make a rosette 1/4" tall, 1/2" scores will create a rosette that is 1/2" tall etc. The diameter of the rosette is controlled by the width of the paper strip. The wider the paper the larger the rosette.
I have found that the rosettes are best held together with hot glue. To do this simply hold down the center, fill with glue and let cool.
I've also found that the Stay Put Craft mat is an ideal for base for making them on. With it's non-stick and heat resistant surface the Stay Put Craft Mat allows me to press the flower center down flat to cool and it will peel right up without sticking.
It also helps create a flat surface ideal for adding embellishments on the top and adhering flat to the project on bottom.
Of course, there are tons of other great uses for the Scor-pal products when scrapbooking but I will keep it short and simple for today and share more in a future post.

Keepin it simple is the theme of my project! With the holidays quickly approaching I thought I would make something that would be quick and easy to put together for that last minute gift.
Keepin it simple is the theme of my project! With the holidays quickly approaching I thought I would make something that would be quick and easy to put together for that last minute gift.
I used Bo Bunny’s “Garden Girl” collection, including all the extra little bling and chipboard. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The box on top of another box is two gifts in one, the bottom box is left empty for something special (maybe a picture frame or a pair of earrings?) and the top box is filled with 3” x 3” note cards.
The little “hi” container next to it is a Post-It holder and box from the Scor-pal site.
Beautiful box of cards!!! and the layout is great!! I never use my hot glue when I am scrapbooking and I NEED to on these rosettes. I usually use 3in1 glue by Beacon and it works but you have to hold it FOREVER!! Why didn't I think of hot glue!!! Thanks again for the fabulous inspiration with the hop!!
ReplyDeleteLovely projects! Thanks for the tip on the rosette Tami, I've made a couple but really struggle to get the flower to fold down and stay together in the middle. GOing to try this (don't have the non-stick mat but will experiment).
